Facilities
The People We believe that people are what make something special and
at Bazpackers we always have a great mix of friendly international staff as well
as guests. The staff change from time to time but are always travellers at heart
and we usually have a good range of languages and cultures behind the reception
desk.
Beds
We have 38 beds in a variety of rooms; mixed dorms (6 bed room), a female
only dorm (5 bed room), quads (four bed room), doubles (double bed), twins (2 single
beds) and a triple/family room (double base with single on top). All bedding is
provided (sheets, duvets, pillow and sleep sheet).
Showers / Bathrooms
Our stainless steel showers (hot water 24 hours a day) have received rave reviews since we installed
them a couple of years ago and in total we have six showers / toilets at a bed:
shower ratio of less than 1:7. These are divided into a large shower room and three
individual shower / toilet rooms.
Lounge / Kitchen
At the heart of Bazpackers is the original, hand carved, 19th century fireplace with real fire that forms the
central focus of the common area. This is a great place to relax, chat, read and
meet people from all over the world. We also have a separate TV area with DVDs,
games and a bookshelf. The self catering kitchen has all you need to prepare and
store your food, with several fridges, microwave and large range cooker. The kitchen
common room area is closed from midnight to 7.30 am.
Security / Lockers
Although Inverness is a very safe place we take security seriously. We have a 24 hour staff
presence and the front door is locked after midnight (24 hour access with door code).
All dorm rooms have free, secure lockers (deposit required for padlock) and all
private rooms are lockable. All guests must provide photo ID.
Laundry + internet
Laundry and internet are available at the hostel for a small charge.
